Strawberry Smoothie

Servings 1
calories approximately 30-35

6-7 med strawberries
1 cup ice
10 drops chocolate stevia (or to your liking)
10 drops vanilla cream stevia (or to your liking)
1/4 t Unsweetened Cocoa
1 T 2% Milk (your daily milk unless you already used it!)
1/2 c water (if needed)

Add all ingredients to blender, blend till smooth. I added the water because the mix was too thick and would not blend well.

This was pretty good, the flavored stevia did not really give a lot of flavor before it got too sweet. I may in the future get real vanilla extract and use that with the cocoa for phase 3...

Cabbage

Servings guessing about 6-8

1 head of cabbage (not red)
2-3 cups fat free beef broth (or water)
seasonings you like (I used a little bit of cajun seasonings, salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder)
Water to cover cabbage...

Chop cabbage up discard the knot in the bottom of it. Discard the two outer leaves. Cut it all up into strips or however you like it!

Add cabbage to beef broth and seasonings.

Add water just to the same level of cabbage.

Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until desired tenderness!

This makes several servings of cabbage you can serve without the broth.

I saved the left overs with the broth to use as a soup base.

I am having some right now with chicken and it is yummy!!

Chicken Soup

Servings 1
Calories 148

1 serving precooked chicken diced
2 cups HCG Chicken broth (or water)
2 cups celery diced
onion powder
garlic powder
salt
pepper
sage
All seasonings can be used in any amount you like!


Use about 1 or 2 T of broth to sautee celery, add seasonings now...
When the celery is softening add chicken and rest of broth
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer until celery is to your liking.

Tacos (Taco Salad)

Serves the whole family plus HCG dieter
You can make 2 tacos in lettuce leaves or cut it all up as a salad
The meal for the HCG Dieter is 200 Calories

32 oz very lean ground beef (170 cals per serving)
1 Tomato Diced
1/2 a white onion Chopped
Chili Powder
Cumin
Minced Onion
Garlic Powder
Salt
Pepper
2 c shredded lettuce 2-4 lettuce leaves
Juice of 1 lemon(optional)


For the HCG Dieter
take 1/4 cup diced tomato add to one small container add 1 1/2 to 2 T onion to tomato add a little lemon juice(optional)

For the Family
Combine all the rest of the tomato and onion in a separate container add some chopped or minced peppers if you like. Chill these two containers of pico till dinner is ready to serve.

Season beef while it is cooking and after draining, as per your liking

Boil meat till cooked through and drain off excess juices (if you let all the water cook out, you will find there are no juices in very lean beef)
Season beef and add about 1/2 to a cup of water stir together to blend spices bring to a simmer and keep simmering while you finish the rest of the meal for the family. While the rest of the meal is being prepared allow the water to simmer down in the meat mix.

My family likes refried beans and they had the meat on hard and soft taco shells. Get all that ready for them, plus whatever toppings your family likes, cheese, lettuce pico, they can make their own!

For the HCG Dieter

Weigh out 3 to 3.5 oz of meat mixture
If you wanna pick it up like a taco I recommend romain, I tried iceburg it didn't work so I turned mine into a salad.

Place leaves on plate put half the meat in 1 leaf half in the other, top each with about 1/2 c shredded lettuce and 1/2 the HCG pico

Like I said I had to just cut mine all up in a blowl cuz the iceburg fell apart but it was really good!

This is the 1st time I am trying to mix veggies at a meal too. If it stalls my weight loss I will not do it again!

Spinach Salad with Strawberries, Oranges and Chicken

Servings 1
Calories 201

1 serving chicken breast cooked and diced (100 g or about 1/2 a breast)
2 c Baby Spinach
1/2 serving strawberries (bout 3-4 medium)
1/2 an orange, peeled and cut up
1-2 T HCG Safe Vinagrette


Mix chicken, fruit and vinigrette in a container and chill for about an hour.
Pour over spinach and mix well

I add a broken up garlic grisini breadstick and this is delish!
With breadstick calories are 211

Roast Beef, Carrots and Cabbage


The HCG dieter:
1 serving of roast with 1 serving of cabbage is 185 calories


1 Roast all fat removed
1 lg bag baby carrots
1/2 head cabbage
1 whole onion
Seasonings as per your liking


I make my roast on the stove in a big soup pot.

Season roast with whatever seasonings you like. Rub it into the meat real good.

Add roast (trimmed of all visible fat) then carrots around the roast, to the pot and enough water to come up about an inch or maybe a little more. It'll make it's own juice by steaming.

Cut up 1/2 a cabbage into big chunks
(I am hoping this will make it easier to pull out my part later)

Cut up one onion into big chunks.

Place cabbage and onion on top of roast and carrots

I sprinkled the top with salt pepper and safe seasoning from DIYHCG. Bring to a boil, lower heat to allow a very slow simmer (on my stove I put the burner to 2). Cover pot and leave it alone.

I usually let my roast cook about 5 hours and the meat just falls apart.

For the HCG Dieter!

This is my 1st try at making this for the fam. If I can't take out my cabbage and get the right measurement I saved some more cabbage already cut up and ready to go. I'll just put 3.5 oz of cooked roast and 2 cups cabbage in a smaller pot iwht water or HCG Safe chicken broth to cook for about an hour or 2 before dinner, cuz I want my cabbage really tender. I also want the flavor of the meat to infuse with the cabbage. I did this the other day with left over roast and it was SO GOOD! I just added a few seasonings and Man! This is why I decided to do it for everyone!

Roast Beef and Cabbage

Servings 1
Calories 185

Ingredients:

3.5 oz Cooked Left over Roast
2 C Raw Cabbage
2 C HCG Friendly Broth (Or water)
1 t or 1 clove Minced Garlic
Any seasonings to tast
(I used just a sprinkling of, onioin powder, garlic powder, sea salt, pepper and Safe Spice HCG Friendly All Purpose Seasoning.)

Sautee garlic in a little of the broth. Just till fragrant. Add all other ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover. Allow to simmer until cabbage is at your desired tenderness.

This has my whole house smelling like I just cooked a roast! The cabbage is a filling veggie for the HCG Dieter and if you wanted you could do a big pot of this for the whole family. You could do your dieters serving in a small pot while the family's cooks in another bigger pot.
